Au Revoir.

Well, it's a few hours until I hop on a plane and return to Canada. I say goodbye to Dublin. It was a fantastic time, I loved Dublin, I would definitely come back. I do look forward to returning to Canada. I miss family and friends. I miss Canadian prices, that's for sure.

I will soon see you all again and I look forward to showing you all my pictures and telling my stories.

See you soon!

Tail End.

Well, I finished Venice. It was a beautiful city. Very expensive, but beautiful. I was hoping to take a Gondola ride, but then discovered that the cheapest one was 100 Euro. No thanks.

After much headache and stupidity, I finally made it to Nice last night. I'll stay tonight, and then I make my way back towards Dublin.

Continental.

Well, Paris was a very beautiful city, but it was absolutley overrun with tourists. So much so that I didn't bother going up the Eiffel Tower because it would have taken waiting in line all day to do so. If I ever go back, it will be late autumn or very early spring to hopefully avoid such tourist surge in the future. I otherwise liked Paris very much, though.

Today is also my last day in Berlin. I liked Berlin a lot. A very vibrant city with lots to see and do, lots of history, less tourist mass, and some high quality beer. Berlin is likely to be my favourite place I visited.

Next stop: Venice!

Great Success.

Well, I didn't get to Scotland, but I did alright. I met up with my friend Albert in London, and he and i went to Oxford for the weekend, staying with a friend of his that goes to grad school there. It was nice. Because he is a student, he got us into a bunch of places in Oxford that would otherwise cost admission or be prohibited. Awesome. There was a big rowing tournament going on as well, so we went to a few races. The best thing I saw in Oxford was the Oxford Museum of Natural History and the Pitt Rivers Museum. Both fantastic.

I then made my way to France. I am there right now. Unfortunately, because it took so long to get here to Paris, all the hsotels and hotels are booked up for the night. I managed to get bookings for tomorrow up to Friday, so that's good. I'm staying up at the hostel cafe surfing the internet until the morning.

'Til next time.

London and beyond.

Well, I left London today.

London was really cool. Really big, too. Like, super huge. I saw a lot: the Tate Modern, the BRitish Museum, TOwer Bridge, London Bridge Experience, the Britan at War museum, a fantastic production of A Midsummer Night's Dream at Shakespeare's Globe THeatre, the London Aquarium, St. Paul's Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, Big Ben, St. James Park and other smaller things.

I was supposed to be on a ferry to Calais from Dover right now, but a fisherman's stirke that began this morning nixed that plan. So, now I'm stuck in Dover. So much for Paris and the continent.

So now, my plan is to head back North. See York, perhaps, then on to Scotland.

Cornwall.

Hello, everyone!

Well, my trip went off to a good start. I landed in Holyhead fine, and took the train down to St. Austell. I had to do some creative train hopping at the end, because a big derailment was slowing things down. I got there, though.

It was ncie to spend a couple days with Cathy and Alan. I saw Pendennis and Restormel Castles, Lenhydrock Estate, Mevagissey, took a tour of the St. Austell Brewery, it was nice.

I'm now in London. I pulled into Paddington station and managed to make my way to a hostel. They are organising a pub crawl, so I might join in on that.

More updates as I have access.

Cheers!

And so marks the end.

Today was my last day at yourlocal.ie. It was a very good run. I Can't say enough good things about them. They were a great employer. They threw a little goodbye party for me, and gave me some gifts of a card, a shirt, a little rugby ball and some novelty socks.

I'll miss them.

Tomorrow I move out of Summerhill, and into a hostel for a couple days. Tuesday I ferry out to Holyhead. Awesome! I'm so excited to get some good serious touring going!

Talk you later!
